Cara &the Crowd

Concentric circles of lifted voices,
While instruments make melodic choices,
As the music builds with bated breath
and grows into a beautiful rhythmic danceable fest.

A musical memoir, of the travels of Cara Lauzon, through South America, Polynesia, The Middle East, Europe and beyond. A live journey of sound featuring acoustic guitar, violin, electric bass, harmonious vocals, and percussion. With a mix of traditional music from around the globe and fusion based originals incorporating poetry from Cara’s travels. With a healthy dose of funk, because who doesn’t like to dance!

Collected while studying abroad in Valencia Spain in attendance at the Berklee College of Music, Cara saw in this group of incredible individuals an opportunity to bring to life stories and poetry from her travels and perform the traditional music she loves so much.

“You music is like my food, one foot in the future, one foot in the past.”

-Melissa Kelly, owner of Primo Restaurant & 0km (celebrated Italian chef)
